Project Manager / Analyst
Held overall responsibility for the design and development of commercially successful online, interactive stock and mutual fund search programs. The ProSearch and Mutual Fund Search software interfaced with Telescan's host communications software and it's database of over 10,000 stocks and mutual funds. The search programs consisted of the client application which was sold to the user, a server application which processed the user's search request and a background pre-processor run every night to keep the search database current.
When Telescan's WallStreetCity site folded, ProSearch ran on the Business Week website for a few years under the guidance and ownership of Investools where it currently resides.

Responsible for the development and maintenance of seismic processing software for local and worldwide company users. Was part of the early industry seismic effort to develop 3-D processing techniques and software.
University of Texas M.D. ANDERSON CANCER CENTER - Houston, Texas (15 years)

The Cancer Genetics section compiles genetic data on certain cancers to ascertain whether a genetic link exists for these cancers. These databases have been layered across two decades of software platforms and generations and current efforts are underway to reorganize, standardize, clean and link this data into one easily accessible network. This network of genetic data should provide more complete and powerful ways of examining and sharing the data.
Other responsibilities include creation and maintenance of the Texas Cancer Genetics Consortium website. The TCGC is one of eight regional centers funded by the NCI contributing data to a national genetics database housed at UCI in California which will allow researchers, more than ever before, to explore the key role gene mutations have in human cancer. The TCGC consists of four institutions in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio and the purpose was to facilitate communication between those institutions and provide any interested participants with information.
